Evolve will lead the debate on how devolution moves forward by inviting speakers to an ongoing series of seminars discussing a wide-range of issues, including local government, the economy, the arts and culture, health, education and constitutional affairs.
Devolution as a concept takes many political forms. It is not a one size fits all solution. Evolve provides a platform for Northern Ireland’s opinion formers and decision makers to learn from examples of best practice from fellow EU partners, as well as international governments.
By analyzing the successes or shortcomings of other devolved administrations Evolve examines both the political and public policy challenges that face Northern Ireland as it looks towards its future.
Evolve will not avoid difficult questions, it is designed to confront accepted truths and conventions, and be a dynamic catalyst for debate as devolution beds down into Northern Ireland’s political framework.
Only through being challenged and tested can devolution move forward with the necessary confidence to deliver for Northern Ireland.
